Dear Dr. Xu,

Thank you so much for your interesting and thought provoking presentation on global governance at the UN Theme Group on China in the World on December 18^th 2012.

It was a great privilege to have you speak at the event. Your understanding on China and its role particularly on global economic governance was of keen interest to all of us. It is evident from the number of participants in the meeting that there is a lot of interest among diplomatic community to learn more about this topic.

Your comments on China’s entry into WTO as a successful example of the country’s integration into globalization were very insight. In addition, your suggestions on solutions for the challenges faced by global economic governance today - improving the effectiveness of the multilateral trading system, linking WTO and regional trade agreements more closely and reforming the international monetary system - sparked considerable discussion.

I look forward to continuing fruitful dialogue and good collaboration with CCIEE in the future. Thank you again for meeting us and giving us such an excellent presentation.
